About
VOLET
VOLET is my project: pixel-art assets for games. I like working with historical characters and other subjects that rarely show up in catalogs of ready-made game art.
The first pack is a sixteenth-century conquistador armed with a musket and a rapier. He comes with 17 actions in 8 directions, with the character, shadows and effects on separate layers. The pack is available in two formats: a Unity package, and PNG sprite sheets with JSON data for other engines.
How I work
I generate the base frames with Grok, then edit the animations in Aseprite. Layer separation, pivot points, frame timing and the Unity integration are all set up by hand. Every pack page explains where AI was used and what work was done after generation.
Jack the valet, the VOLET emblem and some of the backgrounds in the promotional materials were also made with Grok. The music in the promo video was generated with Suno.
